I love to help people. When I was on a two year mission in South Africa, I discovered a few things. First, there were a lot of people that struggled with the basics in school, especially math which was a big stress to the kids and their parents. Second, because they didn't understand it in class, they just assumed they weren't good at it. I found that wasn't true, they just needed a different view. Having enjoyed and excelled at math, and school in general, my whole life, I would often volunteer to help tutor the kids in math. As I worked with them, I realized that, third, I love to help and to teach people. It's amazing when they have that "a-ha" moment when it clicks. I love helping them understand the "why" behind concepts so they will be well equipped to answer any questions they face. I also love building confidence and helping the people I work with see that they are capable of doing anything they set their mind to, as long as they're willing to work at it.

As for me, I am currently in the Mechanical Engineering program at Brigham Young University. I have always loved math and science and hope to further my knowledge of those fields as I pursue the dream of becoming an Aerospace Engineer. All things flight have fascinated me for as long as I can remember, and it's certainly one of my hobbies besides piano, sports, and being with my family. I enjoy laughing, I enjoy being with other people, and I love helping others be happy.

I spent two years working with, serving, and teaching people in South Africa many things, including math. I enjoy working with and getting to know people and strive to create a comfortable environment where learning is fun and interesting. As a Mechanical Engineering student at BYU, I have the opportunity to fine tune my skills in math and science and would love to be able to pass on any knowledge I have.

As an engineering student, I have to be in top form when it comes to math. One of the most common things that I helped people with when I was in South Africa was basic Algebra and Geometry. I've always loved Algebra and received very high marks in all my math classes throughout high school. I received a 35 on the ACT as well and would love to share with people how to succeed on the math portion of that critical test.

The science portion of the ACT is one of the trickiest portions of the test because it's the section that has the least amount of time to complete. Most students get flustered when they see chemical formulas they don't know or graphs and tables that seem overwhelming, but the key is to identify only what you need. Having excelled in all my science classes thus far and having received a 35 on the ACT, I can help boost the score of the toughest portion of the ACT for anyone willing to work hard.

Again, as stated above, I received high marks for the ACT. My scores for each of the sections were 35's and 34's. I have excelled in all my English classes and can help the students prepare for the questions they face. Furthermore, taking the ACT itself is more about managing the time and less about the questions, and I can help the students learn how they can do that so that they too can succeed at this crucial test.

I love to help people! I always have enjoyed it, and I always will. If you are struggling with understanding, application, or anything else, I would love to come and lend a hand! Feel free to contact me, I am relatively flexible and will be able to work around your schedule. Let me know!

I've played the piano since I was 8 years old and love it. I play as often as I can and enjoy playing for leisure. Between the 13+ years I've played and my experience participating in various choirs for the last 10 years, I have enough musical knowledge to be able to assist anyone who is struggling.
