Hi! My name is Alexis. I am an experienced tutor originally from from Henderson, Nevada. I currently study Engineering Physics at Cornell University.

The challenging classes that I've taken throughout my life have taught me good study tips and solid fundamentals that I love sharing with others. One of the main keys to success is learning to love the challenge!

Hi! My name is Alexis. I am an experienced tutor originally from from Henderson, Nevada. I currently study Engineering Physics at Cornell University.

The challenging classes that I've taken throughout my life have taught me good study tips and solid fundamentals that I love sharing with others. One of the main keys to success is learning to love the challenge!

I began tutoring three years ago and have loved it since. My patience and insight into subjects combined help my students succeed. My primary teaching strategy is to connect the dots and teach fundamental truths rather than simply memorizing formulas. While this approach may initially seem more difficult, both my students and myself have found significantly more long term success.

While I specialize in STEM, I am able to tutor areas such as programming, English, and other niche subjects.

Taken several higher level mathematics and physics questions
99th percentile ACT and SAT (35 and 2300)
800 on SAT Math II and 5 on Calculus AB and BC.
Years of experience in making math make sense at all levels

Knowledgeable and patient tutor.

Alexis helped my son with trigonometry functions and vectors. She’s very patient and knowledgeable. In just one session, he was able to grasp the concept. Will definitely use her again. I highly recommend her.

Great Geometry tutor

Alexis was a great match for my smart but unmotivated daughter. My daughter missed several days of school and was significantly behind. She was skeptical of doing an online tutor. Alexis used Skype, which allowed them to share info on their screens. She kept my daughter engaged and did a great job.
