Brigham Young Universtiy (Neuroscience)
I'm a junior studying neuroscience at BYU planning on going to medical school starting in the fall of 2018. I've been tutoring since high school both as a volunteer service and as a job. I've tutored high school level math, sciences, English, Spanish, and history. I've been high successful in not only helping struggling students to pass classes but have also helped students excel in various subjects. I have worked as a TA for BYU's chemistry department before but have since moved on to other jobs. I have over 6 years of tutoring and teaching experience and have always been successful in helping people to improve and do the best they can.
Took both calculus AB and BC in highs school and scored a 5 on both exams. Additionally, I have taken multivariable calculus at BYU and received a B+ in the class.
I've taken basically every general science class there is and have done extremely well in each of them. Between all of what I've done, the lowest grade I've received in any science class is a B+ and have, for the most part, received A's. I have taken 5 semesters of college chemistry classes including general chemistry (2), organic chemistry (2), and biochemistry (1). Additionally, I have worked as a TA for general chemistry (1 semester). Further, I have taken 3 semesters of college physics and 3 semester of college biology classes.
I speak fluent Spanish having served a 2-year LDS mission in Argentina. During my time there I worked with several new missionaries without Spanish experience and successfully taught them the basics of the Spanish language

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
