I have the time and the will to make sure my help is useful and worth your time and mine. I am not the most qualified but will put in extra effort to make yours a quality experience. I will let you know if the education you need is beyond my capabilities. I love to teach and will enjoy the opportunity to help you along your path, not just to get by but to learn so you will not need a tutor in the future. The following is my experience with teaching, and the education I've received:
I'm a current college student at Brigham Young University looking to help others in their learning process. My first experiencing teaching was in Vermont on a ropes course. I was an instructor for business groups, scout groups and so on to develop team building skills and relating their learning on a challenging course to their group interest. I developed a love of learning and teaching when I volunteered for a full time service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I spent those two years teaching and learning the best ways to teach. I've learned techniques of repetition, tailoring a lesson to each individual, and making others feel comfortable to ask questions to challenge their learning. Beyond that experience I've helped tutor family, cousins and sisters, who are in high school. I've helped them with algebraic math, and english essays.
I'm in my second year of college. It's only fair you know my experience and quality of learning I've received. I've passed all college english classes with A's. I've taken a class outside of schooling on proficient note taking and reading techniques. I received a 27 on the ACT in Math. I'm a Finance/Accounting Major and have done a lot of simple math involved in those fields.
Math has been a natural subject of expertise. I received a 27 on the math portion of the ACT. Took college algebra in high school. Finance/Accounting major so have dealt with a lot of simple math.
My schedule is flexible. In tutoring your education will come first and you will receive my best effort, in and outside of our tutoring session. Contact me and I will let you know if I can help you. I look forward to meeting. I have the time and the will to make sure my help is useful and worth your time and mine. I am not the most qualified but will put in extra effort to make yours a quality experience. I will let you know if the education you need is beyond my capabilities. I love to teach and will enjoy the opportunity to help you along your path, not just to get
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I played in city leagues, recreational leagues, and weekend pick up games since early grade school throughout high school. I've coached a Jr Jazz team of 6th graders. The most advanced play I had was in a comp league in 9th grade. I love the sport, and know how do coach younger kids.
I spent 2 years, full time, volunteering for my church. Over that time we had trainings on scriptures and how to teach at least once a week, studied the scriptures everyday for at least one hour, and I've had weekly church attendance since a youth. I've taken two college courses on Bible studies, one of the new testament gospels and the other on Jesus Christ Pre-mortal, Mortal and Post Mortal life. I've graduated religious studies program in high school.
I started with my own personal trainer who taught me weight lifting, cardio, and diet skills. I've taken and aced life health and college nutrition where we learned of healthy lifestyles and appropriate diets. I have resources to diet tracking, and experience in exercise fitness. I have type 1 diabetes and have received additional education on a healthy carb balance, fitness, and diet.
I am 21 and have gambled with friends and family since a youth. My games of expertise are blackjack, Texas hold em', hearts, and 31. If someone wants to learn I'd be happy to help them learn to count cards, and enjoy the game.
