I've been tutoring since high school. I'm currently attending BYU, studying physics and will graduate in about a year. I enjoy teaching and being a TA. Teaching has always been a passion for me, to the extent that for several years I wanted to grow up an become a high school math teacher.
Once I started attending college, I came to realize that my real passion was in physics, and so my dream has changed and I want to become a professor; essentially still a teacher but at a different level.
I have been a TA in the physics department at BYU for almost two years now and have done so for 4 different classes--ranging from entry level 100 classes to Upper level classes.
I currently TA the upper level Physics lab class for juniors. Last year I tutored a high school junior who living in Eagle Mountain. So I have a lot of experience when it comes to teaching, and the majority of it is very recent, I absolutely love seeing a student I teach understand what I'm explaining, but it's even better once they don't need my help anymore. That's my goal for students.

Joe has been tutoring me for several weeks. He has been very articulate in his explanations and made difficult topics easy to understand. I scored a 96% on my final exam thanks to him.
Joe was an amazing tutor. He taught in a way that made me understand it and at my own pace. He is very friendly and is easy to work with. He understands what he is teaching and cares about the success of his students. I would highly recommend him for anyone who is struggling or behind in a course, he is amazing!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have always loved and tutored other students in math. I took the Calc AP test back in high school and got a 5, and since then I've been going to BYU studying physics, which uses a lot of principles of calculus. I have also been a tutor for the past several years at BYU, the school I attend.
I took my first Geometry class many years ago and have used the concepts constantly. I am currently a physics major at BYU and as a physics major, we need to know about all sorts of shapes, angles, and how to relate them.
I am currently a TA at Brigham Young University in the physics department and have been for almost two years now. I have plenty of experience tutoring and teaching and really enjoy it.
