As a recent graduate from Brigham Young University, I loved learning Arabic and focusing my studies on the Middle East. We live in an incredible world full of diversity! As part of my studies, I spent over 2 years in classes with Arab teachers and a semester living in Amman, Jordan. I have also studied German and Chinese, allowing me to better understand how to learn a language. For me, it's all about practice. You can only study vocabulary and grammar so much, but a language becomes active as we speak it and use it in real-life situations. It takes hard work, patience, and a little courage.
I believe in positive feedback and motivation. Learning becomes enjoyable when students can feel improvement and use what they learn. As a former online Arabic tutor, I feel confident helping students learn vocabulary and grammar, but most importantly, practicing the language. I love seeing students progress and have fun in what they are trying to achieve. I have experience learning and teaching Modern Standard Arabic, Levantine Arabic, and Egyptian Arabic. Arabic is a very difficult language with complex grammar systems, but it is also very useful, fulfilling, and FUN.
