“**Down but not out.**”

To whom it may concern,

There are few things in life that I would say I am passionate about, but I can say without reservation that I am passionate about mathematics and helping others. It is this passion that I feel makes me an excellent tutor.

For as long as I can remember, I have had an aptitude for math. It is this

Even though Todd was delayed stating the first session he still came through for us. My Son is feeling more confident with Calculus and is looking forward to more sessions.

Todd has been a life saver for my daughter. She was behind in class and he helped raise her grade up by 2 letter grades. He is very thorough and explains everything so well so that my daughter can understand. I appreciate his help so much!!! Great tutor!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have been tutoring college level algebra for four years and have been applying the principles learned therein for even longer as part of my calculus and engineering classes.

I took AP Calculus in high school and received a 5 on the test. More recently, I worked for seven semesters at the Math Study Center at Brigham Young University - Idaho where I specialized in calculus.

I excelled in 8th grade geometry.

I have studied geometric principles in algebra 2, pre-calculus, and three semesters of calculus.

I additionally studied geometry and geometric relationships as part of my undergraduate work in mechanical engineering.

I've just completed a BS in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in thermal sciences. I feel my strong points are statics, dynamics, strength of materials, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, numeric methods, and heat transfer. Most notably, I worked as a TA/tutor for dynamics during my undergraduate work.

I have had two years of high school physics, and 10+ credit hours of particle motion, rigid body motion, static equilibrium, electricity, magnetism, and optics.
