I am a Biological Engineering major and Mathematics minor. I have an extensive history in mathematics, and I have an extreme passion for it. I find Math a little easier to teach than some aspects of Biology, but I am also very willing and able to tutor Biological, Chemical, or even some Physics concepts.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have a detailed understanding of the mathematics involved during the math section of the ACT. On this portion of the ACT I personally received a score of 32, which is above the 95th percentile nationally. I am very capable of explaining ACT math concepts in a variety of ways to best help an individual.

I have had extensive experience in tutoring algebra, and I have used it extensively in my education. I have a very clear understanding of the methodology behind algebra. I am especially capable at explaining algebraic methods in multiple ways, depending on the individual.

Much like beginning algebra, I greatly enjoy this subject and excel in algebraic applications. I understand the different approaches many people have towards intermediate algebra, and I can accommodate to suit individual needs. This is a subject I love teaching in any form.

As a Biological Engineer, I am particularly passionate about biology. I enjoy understanding and explaining concepts related to biology, and I find I have a knack for it. I am able to teach these concepts clearly, and - according to many - in an interesting fashion.

Calculus is a subject I quickly came to love. I find the concepts of calculus fascinating, and I greatly enjoy teaching them. It was, in fact, calculus that made me want to involve mathematics more in my education and work experience, and I have extensive experience tutoring peers in this math form.

I have studied martial arts for close to a decade. I trained in Korean tae-kwon-do for over two years, obtaining the rank of high red belt. I trained in the Chinese My-Jhong-Law-Horn Kung Fu for two years, obtaining the level of yellow belt. I have recently started to train in the Japanese art of Aikido.

Much like biology, I am fascinated by the concepts in microbiology. I feel more at home when I study microscopic subjects and wish that others could gain a deeper satisfaction with the subject. I enjoy teaching others about this aspect of biology.

I have played the piano for 15 years, including 7 years of lessons. During those 7 years I achieved 7 consecutive years of Superior piano ratings in Music Federation performances. I am very patient and able to teach basic piano skills and assist with performance.

Prealgebra is very fun for me. I enjoy this aspect of math as it is a foundation for most of the math all students will face. Proper teaching during this subject can make a great impact on later studies of math.

The concepts of precalculus are a review of algebraic, trigonometric, and geometric abilities. I have qualifications in all of these individual areas, and extensive history in the combination of these math styles. More importantly, I understand how these skills have a place in the understanding of calculus itself.

Trigonometry can be a difficult subject for many. There is a tendency to want to memorize concepts without actually learning them, which I feel is more important. I not only understand trigonometric concepts, but feel very comfortable in utilizing them to solve real-world problems.
