I began tutoring college students in math in 2010 and high school students in 2012. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Utah in 2015. I absolutely love math and helping others better understand the subject and became a high school math teacher for three years before leaving to pursue another career. I found myself missing the profession and decided to become a tutor.

Part of why I left high school teaching was the overemphasis of memorization and passing tests. As such, I aim to help students approach topics from an intuitive perspective to encourage deeper understanding. I want people to see that often times their difficulties with math lie in how they have been taught and that they have the ability to understand math more than they realize. I am also aware that this process can take longer amounts of time for each person and am always happy to revisit subjects as often as needed to make sure that you are confident in your mathematical abilities. I will never judge you for anything you don't know, no matter how far behind you may feel. The only thing I want is for you to succeed!

Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Trigonometry, Calculus (AP, 1, 2, 3), Common Core Math for Grades 7+, Statistics, Probability, Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Foundations of Analysis, and all 1000-level college math courses.

My schedule is flexible, I can tutor online, and I'm happy to tutor late at night. I respond within 24 hours, so contact me today!

Superb!

Quincy’s explanations were astonishingly efficient. He was concise without sacrificing a thorough explanation. He really helped me get a grasp of my AP Calc BC material!

Great tutor!!

Quincy L. was very patient. He worked very well with my son helping him with his homework for Math 2 (high school) We always did online lessons, but appreciated that he was from the area and familiar with our school district, etc. Highly recommend.

My son was very excited!

After his first lesson with Quincy my son said, “all that time in class and he made it seem so easy” Quincy was patient and knowledgeable. He showed me how to upload a document as well as how to view the recording.

Incredibly knowledgeable! Great teacher!

Quincy is super sharp and knows a ton about math and computer science. He’s been a reliable resource and thanks to him I’ve been able to conquer difficult math concepts (after five years of not studying math at all). He’s awesome!

Quincy is fantastic!

We have been using Quincy to help our son with Algebra 2. Quincy is easy on the ears and from the moment he starts tutoring it’s obvious he is the real deal. Explains things in a straight forward way and comes across more as an old family friend than a guy we’ve hired to be our sons math tutor. He obviously enjoys math and helping others. You can’t go wrong with Quincy! Trust me on this one. 👍🏻

Really good!

I’m taking a discrete math course at Harvard and Quincy really knew his stuff. At one point in our lesson, I think I asked him the same question 3 different ways. He explained it until I understood. Patient, smart and a great teacher.

Very impressed!! definitely will hire again, thank you!!

My 12 year old grandson who is in pre college math has been bored in school, not doing homework,( making paper airplanes with them) said he knew material but had a failing grade because of not turning in homework. May have a little ADHD. He did NOT want me to get an online tutor to help with homework. He shut the picture off, he said “what? a whole hour?!? How much are you paying for this???Ugh. But after the hour he said, “that was fun!! He’s cool!!”!😁 Thanks so much Quincy for making it such a great experience, and for helping with online homework which I don’t understand at all. Looking forward to working with you in the future!!
