I have taught as an Adjunct Instructor at five of the Provo and Eagle Gate Colleges. For many years I have taught watercolor, drawing, tole' painting, oil painting and acrylics. I have painted murals in homes and businesses and designed the sets for several productions. I taught night classes at Bingham High School and Oquirrh middle Shool. I participated in the 48 hour film festival, appeared in three commercials, and was "Mrs. Potifer" in the musical "Joseph". I have created a music video, a silent film and flash animations. I designed and made one hundred thirty nine costumes for a dance group production of "Lion King". I had 14 fabric patterns on the market through a home business and 30 tole' painting patterns through "Cottage Craft Mercantile". I worked for Eric Dowdle (famous artist) at Thanksgiving Point and taught art lessons in his "Little Red Schoolhouse" next to his home. I was the Arts and Crafts Designer at the South Jordan "Robert's Crafts". I taught at the Entheos Charter School for their "Discovery" program. I taught the 6th graders watercolor. Included in the lessons were "How to watercolor trees", "Proportions of the Face", "Perspective" and "Recreating a Painting of the Masters". I teach at "Painting With a Twist" where individuals that would like to experience painting come and I teach them to paint a painting in two hours. I have won awards on my paintings including first place at the "Utah County Fair" on a sketch of my daughter in the professional division, First Place at the "Fiesta Days" art show in Spanish Fork, Fifth place on a watercolor at the "State Fair" judged by Al Rounds (famous artist) and recently won the Purchase Award at the Student Show at Broadview Entertainment Arts University. I graduate from Broadview Entertainment Arts University September 20, 2013 with my Bachelors of Fine Arts where I will finish with a one-man-show art exhibit. I love teenagers and children and have had a few of my own and grandchildren. I would like to have the opportunity to instruct your children and teach them to love art as I do. I am very hands on and believe every child that has a desire to learn can be taught art.
