About Frank

I am 72, recently retired from a position as Professor of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Washington University in St Louis. I received a BA in Physics at Harvard University and a PhD in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley. I also had a four-year postdoctoral appointment at Cal Tech before accepting a position at Washington University. Along with the Physics I also learned a great deal of Mathematics, of course. At Cal Tech and Washington University my primary research interest was in analysis of extraterrestrial materials (meteorites - including those from Mars - and Moon rocks) and astronomy/astrophysics. I have also taught a wide variety of course in Earth Sciences as well as Planetary Sciences. Patient and knowledgable tutor

Frank has been helping my daughter with her Physics AP class. He works to provide examples that she can relate to, which helps her to understand concepts that might otherwise be hard to understand. He is patient and encourages her to ask questions and in her words, "is just awesome!"
