I am an experienced educator/tutor in Mathematics (Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, College Algebra); AP Microeconomics; AP Macroeconomics, Principles of Economics, College Microeconomics, College Macroeconomics, and Croatian Language. My students often feel like a friend explained them the material and now they perfectly understand it. My goal is to help students understand math and economics from a simple perspective.
I'm giving my students explanations of math and economic problems and theories in a simple way; in so called "normal words". It's all about understanding!

I have been tutoring for 9 years, ever since I graduated from a Mathematical High School in Europe. I hold a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Economics. I've been working with students individually and in groups of up to 12 students at a private school for tutoring. I have thought hundreds of students who had been extremely grateful for the help I provided.

My experience contains: providing personalized education to students, helping students improve their knowledge and competence at their own pace, teaching them study techniques and tricks in order to understand Math as well as being able to draw conclusions from the studied material, helping students with their homework which is often hard to understand but turns out to be easy when presented to students in a proper way, assessing the student's progress throughout the tutoring sessions, communicating student's progress to their parents (if a parent requires so). Most importantly for me, my students often developed love for Math and Economics, after they figured it wasn't really so hard in the end.

I am also a native Croatian speaker and have been teaching Croatian ever since I moved to the US. I have developed my own curriculum that I use in the lessons.

I took College Algebra myself when I was in college so I am very familiar with concepts and what areas to focus on. When I teach College Algebra, I also focus on refreshing student's memory of some basics of Algebra that are maybe forgotten over the years, but are much needed in order to pass and understand what's going on.

We worked on factoring and linear equations. She was very helpful, I just wished we could of had more time. I’m looking forward to our next session! I feel I would not be doing as well without her help. She even took a picture of my cutting edge graphing calculator to help me use it proficiently. Due do the fact that I was gonna struggle using the newest graphing calculator technology. She also asked me to keep an inventory of the equations I missed on the assignment so we could review them during our next session. I believe that will need her help and expertise to be successful in my college algebra course. She makes things very easy to understand and is patient as I follow along.
