My work experience includes accounting and business management. I owned a retail lighting showroom for 13 years and a service business before that.
Owning a business requires working as a supervisor, manager, and an employee; therefore being inspiring and guiding others while monitoring their work was a large part of my job. I motivated by being what I wanted my employees to be, working beside them and leading by example, providing training and guidance. I feel team work is most important to any organization, there are not many people that can accomplish goals alone and as a business owner I was a team leader every day, we achieved many goals and occasionally exceed our expectations.
I attended North Lake College in Irving, TX and attended Mountain View College in Grand Prairie, TX; courses were taken in Real Estate including 6 hours in of business law. I also attended Dallas Skills Center for accounting, management, and business English. My average GPA is 3.98. I acquired my Texas Real Estate License in 1994 and worked as a realtor for 13 months. Business school 30 semester hours, Real Estate 30 semester hours.

I have worked as an entrepreneur and accountant most of my working life; I have experience in developing a business plan, setting up accounting systems, problem solving with customer service as well as auditing, correcting inventory, interpretation of tax laws, setting up payroll, collection and payment programs. I have the ability to analyze data, create procedures and train others in using the procedures and systems, to rearrange virtually all work priorities and schedules to accommodate a customer in an emergency situation; being able to adapt to unusual situations and problem solve at a moment’s notice is one of my greatest abilities.
I have a certification in Quickbooks Enterprise and have been using it sense 1996. I can assist you from setting up your accounts, item lists, receivables and payables or just giving a few pointers and advice.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I started using Quickbooks software in 1996 and am self-taught with book in hand and learning as I went along. I got certification for Quickbooks Enterprise in 2009, and I use this software for my business and personal accounting. It can be used simply and on a complex corporate level.
