After medical school I had 7 years of post graduate education which included teaching graduate students in medicine. As a father of six (all with college educations; 2 with MBAs) and grandfather of eight I understand how to explain, motivate, inspire and break down concepts into the most simple terms. After medical school I had 7 years of post graduate education which included teaching graduate students in medicine. As a father of six (all with college educations; 2 with MBAs) and grandfather of eight I understand how to explain, motivate, inspire and break down concepts into the most simple terms. My teaching method depends heavily on question and answer methodology and lots of student/teacher interaction. I use specifics with regard to information on assignments and concepts the student finds difficult. I am very well versed in current events, trends, and politics. I am dedicated to developing a student's full potential.

As a U.S. Public Health Fellow I tutored high school, undergraduate, and medical students for four years in physics, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, microbiology, and history. I have found that students at all levels often fear examinations. That fear can be grounded in knowledge problems. either in subject matter or testing fear itself. I have in an in depth knowledge of testing techniques which is usually helpful to students. I have personally excelled in multiple tests; the SATs for Stanford Undergraduate admission, and the MCATs for admission to Stanford Medical School.

In addition I have passed M.D. licensing exams in California, New York, and Florida. I also have passed certification exams, written and oral, in General Surgery, and Thoracic Surgery. I passed oral exams for the American College of Surgeons and Thoracic Surgeons. That experience has given me an in depth knowledge of testing techniques and the goals of a test. Such knowledge is helpful and reassuring to all students.
