About David

I'm a mechanical engineer with a background in missile defense systems currently transitioning to public water systems in the Dallas Metropolitan area. I have always been interested in education and have tutored ever since being inducted into the National Honor Society in high school, all through college and often throughout my career.

I love tutoring because it is a win for everyone. My students learn new and exciting concepts and I get to be the one that leads them to success. How great is that!

So far I have only listed the minimum number of topics, but I will expand the list soon. I look forward to hearing from everyone!

As an engineer I have always been fascinated with mathematics as a discipline. All through college and graduate school I have studied challenging math courses designed for physical science applications. A short list of advanced math courses I have taken is as follows: Calculus I, Calculus II, Calculus III, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Probability & Statistics, Discrete Mathematics...

Computer Science is another topic I love which is closely related to math. I have been taking courses throughout my career. I am close to obtaining all the coursework necessary for an undergraduate degree in this field. I look forward adding more advanced math and science courses real soon.

One great thing I have learned over the years is that studying is like eating. Meals can be prepared with the utmost love and care but only the diner can ultimately eat it...no one can eat for that person. As long as we understand that no one is able to learn a concept for you and that learning is a personal endeavor we are ready to taste all the yummy dishes out there. I can't wait to show you how easy and fun studying really is...

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
