Sul Ross State University at Uvalde (Master's)
Hi there! I currently hold a BA from Sul Ross State University and am 2 years into my Master's degree in Education, specializing in LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor). I work in an environment where children are number one, My Home!! I teach and mentor a dyslexic 11 yr-old with reading problems, a bright 9 year old with math troubles and am helping with the expansion of brain cells for a 6 month baby. Currently, I use several programs such as TTM- thinking through math, Time 4 Learning, BookAdventure.com, Leap Frog Learning and Einstein Software. Parents can rest assured that their children (3-13 years) will learn, improve and/or show progress in reading, writing, spelling & vocabulary. Toddlers and infants (5 months-2 years) will astound parents/guardians with their ability to sponge knowledge; learning for these little people will be fun, educational and deep for their age. An age which is fascinating because their minds are receptive to anything and everything. I have taught as a Sunday school teacher and tutored for many years, I completely enjoy it and my patience grows as I fall in love with each and every child whom all have left their mark on me and have also taught me wisdom. Children are beautiful rainbows of the world, each unique and talented in their own ways. I will help your teen/child/toddler/baby expand his/her mind and learn to grow with reading, writing, vocabulary/spelling. Thank you much for your consideration and God Bless!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
