My name is Alexander, and I am a recent graduate from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. My Bachelor's of Business Administration is in Accounting, and I am currently studying for the Certified Public Accountant Licensing Exam. I also received a minor from SMU in Philosophy. I currently work in the field of Public Accounting as an auditor of financial statements.

I have been tutoring younger students since I was in high school. Once I reached college, I began work for a local company specializing in tutoring students with ADHD, ADD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and a host of other unique circumstances. This role suited me particularly well, because my younger brother is autistic and non-verbal. Growing up with him honed my communication skills, and bolstered my understanding of people's differences. Over time, I became busy with my own studies, so I quit working for the company, and continued tutoring a handful of students on an independent basis. Now that I am out of school and working, I have plenty of time in the evenings and on weekends to tutor again. It's something I greatly enjoy, and I have a plethora of experience doing. You will be hard pressed to find a tutor who understands the material, and can communicate this understanding to you, as well as I can. I hope you will consider working with me.

I am an Accounting Major. I received college credit for AP Calculus taken my senior year in high school. While I am rusty enough at higher level calculus to generally avoid tutoring it, I am a master of middle school through high school trigonometry/pre-calculus. I also am quite proficient with any sort of business math at the college level (accounting, finance, business statistics, etc.). Additionally, I am quite skilled with science and English through the college level as well. I received a 2270 on my SAT, and a 35 on my ACT, so I am very familiar with both tests and how to best prepare for them.

Very few exceed my knowledge in my chosen education areas, and it is my promise that NO ONE

I have tutored young, elementary school-age children before, and I know the unique difficulties that can come with tutoring a young child. Explanations must be low enough level for them to grasp, but high enough level to get the point across. I have found that oftentimes analogies and metaphors to things they are interested in helps them understand the subject material more completely. I hope you will consider for me when trying to find the right tutor to help your child excel.

I know how stressful standardized testing can be, and I am eager to share my tips and tricks on how to do as well as possible with new students.

Math is my specialty. I personally found Algebra II/Trigonometry to be the biggest and hardest jump for me in math when I took it in high school, and I know how frustrating it can be. Luckily, I had a father who was good with math and was able to teach me himself. Once, I got past this trouble my freshman year, I went on to excel in math and completed AP Calculus my senior year of high school, earning collegiate credit for the class at SMU after passing the AP Test. I hope you will consider me as your Algebra II Tutor; I know how important a good teacher/tutor can be at this critical junction in your (or your son/daughter's) educational journey.

I have been tutoring for more than 5 years with students of all ages and in a variety of subjects. I specialize in standardized test prep but my experience studying AP Biology late in my high school career has created a lasting love for the subject. I think Biology is a subject that really requires a teacher with great communication skills, to not only explain advanced concepts but also relate those concepts to the real-world, enhancing student understanding and foster interest in the subject.
