I have over four years experience as an Undergraduate Learning Assistant which included managing student grades and holding office hours for material help. After college, I worked on a traveling educational dinosaur exhibit developing an education station and formulating multiple hands on educational experiences for various audiences.

I love working in the educational field because I have always enjoyed school and the opportunity to learn about new things. I believe these is a vast difference between having the ability to learn information, and being able to then communicate and teach that information with others. I will continue my career as a mediator between academic information and those who wish to understand it.

Though I struggled with math through grade school, in my college education I have successfully completed college algebra and acquired an understanding of the mathematical process. My experience struggling with math as an early student gives me an acute understanding of the frustration that comes with the subject at times, and I look forward to helping other students overcome this as well.

I have completed higher level geology classes at Michigan State University and will continue my education in a graduate school for geology. Science and geology has always been my passion and it is critical that people be educated in this fields as it applies to our every day life.

I have taken French classes from middle school through college and have a working knowledge of the language.

From an early age writing was always my strong suit. I received recognition from the city of Detroit, Michigan as a sixth grader for my short stories and scored very high in the writing section of my ACT testing. My college career included extensive research paper writing and analysis. I understand writing as an expression of self and communication. It is essential in many aspects of our daily and academic lives.

I encourage students to contact me if they would like a tutor that is comfortable, realistic, and friendly but also professional. It is important to me that students not only be taught, but are taught in the way that is best for them. Every person has a different learning style and so every teaching style must be individual for the students.
