I like math and the critical thinking that it involves. I see math problems as little puzzles to be put together and solved, and puzzles are also one of my favorite hobbies. Math problems can often be solved in more than just one way, and finding different ways to solve one problem is something that always keeps math interesting for me. Math in my opinion, is one subject that can help develop the ability to see different perspectives of a single situation. I have taken many college level math classes and all of them completed with an "A". I have taken: trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus I, calculus II, Calculus III, and statistics. I also took several programming classes in college. I graduated from both of my Associate's degrees with a GPA of 3.6 or higher. Each semester I was on the president's list and also became part of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. On top of that in high school I took many other math subjects and always excelled at them and helped others understand it as well.
I worked as a tutor in Kumon, at one of the locations near my house. I enjoyed helping others realize that they have what it takes to solve math problems as long as they dedicate a little bit of time to assimilate and think things through. I am also a teacher and leader and my local church. By being a teacher at my church I have learned techniques to get the attention of others and how to help them understand different subjects. As a leader I have developed the patience needed to help others reach a goal and also the patience to listen to them. While tutoring I learned that sometimes all that is needed for someone to understand math is to find the right method of teaching.
I am a good tutor because I strongly think that with proper attention and patience with the student they can get to understand and dominate math.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Several college level courses passed with an "A" . I am patient and is my passion to help others succeed in math.
Good teaching skills, patience, and adaptable. I have taken many math classes and still practice math as a hobby in my free time to find new ways of explaining math concepts and also to learn new methods.
