Wendy has been a great tutor for my daughter, she uses different teaching techniques for her tutoring so it is very engaging and effective for the student. After Wendy's tutoring my daughter is able to understand and communicate well in Chinese. I strongly recommend her as a tutor! Very nice person too!
Wendy has an excellent way of explaining tone and pinyin. She breaks it down so students understand. She also provides useful resources to help at home.
Wendy is incredibly patient with my kids (5 and 7). She has a great curriculum that is fun and challenging at the same time. I am very pleased to have found her.
My son struggles with math. She identified the problem and has been a great help to him. He's beginning to understand the concept of math. She's very patient with him and makes sure he understands the concept before moving forward to another concept. She very passionate, caring and always on time. He said that she has definitely helped him understand math. With her continuous guidance I'm sure positive my son will earn a B if not an A average in Algebra.
Wendy really cares about her students and ensures they have the tools they need to succeed in their language. I truly appreciate her. My daughter has improved significantly and raised her Chinese language grade by 15 points.
Wendy has been working with our girl (high school algebra) for several months. Wendy is very patient, persistent, and genuinely cares how well she does in school and in life. We are very happy we got her help!
Mrs. Wendy is such an excellent and amazing TA. I have two of my kids working with her and they have done so well in math. They have both improved and progressed SO FAST!
Wendy is always on time, always patient, so kind, and so knowledgeable of her material. She has the skills teach young kids. My kids love her. I have enjoyed working with such a good person. Thank you for being there for my twins.
Wendy was one of two tutors we had to work with our daughter in an attempt to find a best fit. Both were awesome and it was very difficult for my daughter to choose one. Wendy was knowledgeable, patient, kind, but challenging. She challenges her students to develop their skills through much practice. She is just what everyone needs in a tutor.
My son has had problems with Algebra, but as of the last three weeks of the first grading period his grades have improved from a low C to B. He definitely has a better understanding of the subject matter after his visits with Wendy. In his own words she knows how to teach.
I am very please to find Wendy as my Chinese language tutor. She is exceptionally patient in teaching me to learn the basic of Pinyin. I consider myself as a slow learner and she is trying to think of many ways to help me to pronounce them right and remember them and I do not feel uncomfortable when she corrected my mistakes. I would like to continue my lessons with her and do recommend her to other students. Thank you Wendy for you time and effort in helping me.
She is excellent, very patient and a good tutor. I will recommend her to my friends I enjoyed working with her.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I plan to help my students improve their study skills by assessing and developing students' skills in concentrating, developing ideas, grasping concepts, and approaching problems. Because everyone is not the same, one way to improve on study skills is to assess how one student learns best and uses this approach to help them learn faster, grasp concepts quicker, and study more efficiently whether it be by using more visual, verbal or tactile methods. I always assign good amount of homework for them to let them know "Practice makes perfect".
