The University of Texas at Arlington (Master's)
Ever since I started school, I had a fascination with numbers and how things worked and interacted with each other. Later on I became really good in the math and science subjects in middle school and high school, and graduated as a top 10 student from a nationally recognized high school. During those years, I not only excelled in those subjects I loved, I also had a passion to help others improve and get better grades in their classes. After getting a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, I started working as a professional in a large electrical engineering company, and my tutoring did not stop. I still love math and science subjects, and I still love to help people. My main expertise lies in consumer math, number sets and complex numbers, problem solving, pre-algebra and algebra, calculus and pre-cal, geometry, and probability. Throughout the years I have helped students realizing and reaching their goals, and setting a high standard for my tutoring service to provide valuable resources for years to come.
I am really good at understanding students' needs, observing and discovering the style in which they learn the fastest and best, and I believe that patience and guidance alongside promotion of innovative thinking will produce a lot of growth and amazing outcome. I believe that in order to excel in a subject, the student needs to have interest in that subject to begin with. I try to make learning fun and interesting, and also show different approaches to problems, guiding the student to think and learn in a way that he or she feels comfortable and interesting to absorb concepts and sink in the information. This will also help them retain the information that they learn the longest. I work on areas to strengthen the student's understanding of hard-to-grasp concepts, and also improve his or her test-taking skill, which is one of the most important skills to have in their repertoire in school.
All of my students are very happy with the results and find that my teaching complements the teaching inside their classrooms and thus were very effective in helping them grasp the hard-to-learn concepts and do much better on their tests.
