I am 29 years old and am currently student teaching in NBISD for 3rd grade until December. I student teach Monday-Friday 7am-around 4pm. I have interned in a kindergarten class in San Marcos in spring and absolutely love the little ones. I taught science over the summer in Cambodia through an exciting Texas State study abroad program for 1st and 3rd grade! I walked the stage from Texas State University this past spring as a Summa Cum Laude. I have taken and passed the ESL (English as a Second Language) Supplemental State Certification Exam #154 and the Generalist EC-6th State Certification State Exam #191. I am registered in November to take #160, Pedagogy.
I enjoy camping, hiking and gardening. I believe I am a great tutor and mentor university students. I am patient and have reliable transportation. I believe that I have knowledge of and can teach study/test strategies and skills.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I walked the stage in spring 2015 from Texas State University as a Summa Cum Laude. Major: early childhood-6th grade. I already have taken my ESL supplemental and EC-6th generalist state exams.
