I am an Environmental Chemist and Data Analyst with a 5+ year experience developing environmental studies.
My research and teaching interests include Climate Dynamics, Climate Change, Oceanography and Biogeochemistry. I am interested in environmental policy directed towards problem-solving. As a scientist, I envision myself training future generations and preparing them for life.
I aspire to be a professor and build a laboratory group in which upper school students can work with graduate students and undergrads on research projects.
As part and member of the Isotopic Geochemistry and Geochronology Lab, I developed a new methodolgy to identify paleosalinity proxies in marsh sediments. I also was a valuable asset during the Environmental Assessment Study of San Pedro River Dam-construction project (an ambitious project of the state-owned Federal Electricity Commission CFE to dam the last free-dam river in the Sierra Madre Occidental mountain range in western Mexico) where I helped to identify and address potential environmental effects at the early stage of of the dam construction.
Before entering the environmental field, I worked at Pfizer for 3 years as Regulatory Affairs Assistant. During this time I helped with the registration renewals of several pharmaceutical products. I am passionate about cultural understanding and language learning, poetry, sports and also science.
