About Carlos

I studied medicine in Mexico and currently work in cancer research here in San Antonio. I'm here to help anyone who needs it.

Biology and genetics are a passion, for nothing can get done in this world without taking Mother Nature into consideration.

Anatomy and microbiology are a close second, because almost everything is made of cells and everything in the human body and most things in the environment can't escape the grasp of genetics.

My teaching style is rooted in flexibility, fun and media, it's simply easier to remember a concept that made you laugh or a flow chart that you find funny.
This is what will give you the AHA! Moment during classes, exam and in real life.

Tutoring any grade up to college level.

I studied medicine (I have an MD!) I completed my certification exams which include extensive basic sciences (biochemistry, genetics, anatomy, mental health).

I have extensive basic science studies and I currently work in cancer research.

I understand basic sciences can be a pain and tackling them can be an uphill battle, but as long as you're willing to work with me. I can help you to get through without breaking a sweat.
Easy peasy my friend, give me a call and we'll get to it!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

In order for me to get to this point I went through extensive study in biology and related sciences, such as cellular biology, molecular biology, genetics. All of these qualifications help me form a bigger picture related to students needs.
