I have always enjoyed the field of mathematics and have a passion and desire to share it with others. I taught for three years at a private college preparatory high school and for three years at the community college level. I am currently seeking to build my own tutoring business. Throughout the years since 1988, I have tutored many students in courses ranging from algebra to calculus.

During each tutoring session, I strive to guide the student to think through the reasons why things are worked out in certain ways. I give instantaneous feedback and continuously guide, direct and coach students to reach their full learning potential.

I am available weekdays between the hours of 11am to 6pm and can travel to meet a student. I am also available for online tutoring. I request a 24 hour cancellation notice.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Statistics

Statistics

Although I had small class sizes, most if not all my students passed the AP Stats exam with at least the minimum score. My masters degree required courses in probability theory which is one of the topics in a standard stats class. I also taught the class using graphing technology, so the student would learn using it as well. The trend in stats is conceptual understanding and knowing what to do with data. This approach frees the student to master thinking versus numerical number crunching.

A very good tutor that knows his stuff.

He taught me statistics. He definitely knows his stuff and will go over it with you until you get it. If you send stuff to him in advance, he can do an even better job. He has a fair rate of pay and is very flexible. I would highly recommend.

Great Tutor

Valentine G. tutored me in college-level precalculus. He is very nice, knowledgeable and explains concepts very well. I wouldn't have passed the class without his help! I would definitely recommend him to anyone and would use him again in the future.
