I have helped students understand the conceptual aspects of Physics and then uncover the "whys and hows" of physics by using mathematics as a foundation. With over 18 years of teaching AP physics in a magnet school, I can help you succeed. I have presented to national physics conventions and have been honored with outstanding teaching awards for the past 18 years.
Students that I have taught have graduated from Harvard, MIT, Princeton, UT Austin, and Texas A&M, Just to mention a few. I'd love a chance to help you!!!!

After just the first lesson Alan G. has helped me better understand Physics and make more sense of the concepts and equations. I appreciate his patience and taking sufficient time to thoroughly explain the topics. I have hope again! Thanks, Alan!
Alan is a gifted and experienced teacher. It is truly a remarkable opportunity to have him teach one-on-one. He has a thorough knowledge of physics and the training and ability to convey it. He also does an excellent job of connecting with the student and providing encouragement. We are extremely pleased!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
