The University of Texas at San Antonio (Multidisciplinary St)
I am a small business owner, and a recent graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio. Earning a Bachelor's of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies with a focus on English, History, and Sociology, was a real pleasure, and validated my natural love for education. Reading, writing, painting, and cooking are my passionate pursuits. My strengths are proofreading, reading comprehension, and communication skills. I believe there is nothing better in life than learning, accompanied with a personal desire to do so. When a person wants to learn, education becomes a world of opportunity. Sometime, the only thing needed is a clarifying voice to take away the stress when learning something new.
My great interests are History, with emphases on the Civil Rights Movement and Religion. I also love English, sentence diagramming, and the progressive definitions of words. Reading is an all-time favorite of mine, and I love stories that teach about historical figures and times in America. I am excited to share my natural talents of learning and teaching with others.
An editor at heart, I enjoy reading and proofreading to find better ways to communicate a thought or idea. I have studied the History of the English language and English grammar, and have learned how classic authors used language to paint pictures long before stories could be visually recorded.
American history is full of exciting stories of life struggle, experience, and evolution. A lover of Sociology, and the way people behave, I have a special interest in how people have progressed in America, and continue to do so. Most interesting are human relations and their development through the ages.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
