I am a certified English teacher for middle school and I look forward to expanding some of my time to tutor students that struggle with English and reading. I connect with my students to provide meaningful and creative lessons to improve their writing and reading skills. I am willing to assist with school assignments, create individual lessons based on student needs, and/or teach my original creative teaching curriculum.
Before tutoring begins, I will conference with the student and parent to set up expectations and needs.
I currently work as a full time teacher in a general education classroom in NEISD. This is my third year teaching. I have a Texas teaching certification for English, reading, social studies, ESL, and GT for grades 4-8. I have successfully worked with a wide variety of students with learning disabilities and I am able to adapt my instruction to meet their specific needs, abilities, and interests to make writing and reading interesting for them!
I am available to draft and proofread all types of essays and papers, teach engaging lessons for grammar and spelling, and improve testing skills.
