I am a retired Electrical Engineer and College Instructor. I have 23 years' teaching experience in the fields of math, science, computer maintenance and repair and electronics. I have taught students from the Elementary level through the Jr. College level. I have 15 years experience working for the Windham School District ( Tx. Dept. Criminal Justice System ).
The most important school years for successful people in the workplace are those starting at the elementary level through jr. high. I believe in mastering those fundamental skills that are necessary to build a strong foundation for high school and college work.
If you have the desire to master those school topics that are confusing and difficult to understand, I can help you. I will show you
how to use the power that is inside of your brain to tackle any problem that confronts you in an organized and easy way.
I review material that is necessary for you to progress with your schoolwork. Together we can organize your notebooks and school work so that it will be easy to find and research information as needed. We'll work on scheduling your study time for best results.
I will show you how to make learning a fun experience. We will work smart, not hard.
Learning about the world that surrounds you is also vital. Your brain is the most sophisticated computer in the known universe.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a BSEE from the University of Puerto
Rico (a commonwealth of the U.S.) with a major in math and communications. I obtained a Consumer Electronics Certificate from San Jacinto Jr. College in Pasadena, Tx (65 credit hours). I have a Texas Educator Certificate from the Texas Education Agency in Vocational Trades and
Industry (Grades 6-12). I taught at the Jr. College level for 8 years at San Jacinto Jr. College in Pasadena, Tx. and 14 years with the Windham School District in San Antonio, Tx. (Electronics and Computer Repair). Documentation is available upon request.
I have an engineering degree and I am a certified vocational instructor by the Texas Education Agency. I have over 20 years of classroom teaching experience. Algebra 1 & 2 are part of the curriculum I taught in the fields of Electronics, Computer Repair and Science. I am currently tutoring students in Algebra 2 and helping them prepare for high school. I have signed the necessary
documentation to teach elementary and middle school courses (Algebra 2 included ) with the Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, Tx.
I am a certified Vocational Educator by the Texas Education Agency. I have a total of twenty-two years of classroom teaching experience. I will be teaching in the Northside Independent School District of San Antonio, Tx (Elementary through 12th) in the fall semester, 2013.
I am a certified vocational instructor by the Texas Education Agency. I have over 20
years teaching subjects such as Math, Electronics and Computer Science. I have tutored 5th and 6th grade students in fundamental and prealgebra math. I have a unique teaching method whereby the student learns to extract the given information in a problem, identifies what he is expected to find and then uses the tools available to find the solution to the problem.
I was born and lived in the Spanish speaking island of Puerto Rico for a total of 26 years. I graduated from high school and the university in Puerto Rico. I speak and write Spanish fluently. Spanish was the the primary language used in our household. With my engineering degree as a foundation, I can translate math and science terms between English and Spanish with ease.
In total, I have been a teacher for 23 years. I have a Texas Educator Certificate from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for life, issued on 1/20/81. I have taught the principles of study techniques in a classroom setting for many years.
