Stephanie is a great person who can understand me very well, because I am international student. She feels my feeling and she know what I want to edit on my papers without I said it. She is very patient, optimistic, and she make me feel the work is easy.
Stephanie knew what the problem was before I did! She listens, she recognizes, she deciphers, she guides, and she motivates. She listens with a big heart, an open mind and an even bigger intellect. Through Stephanie's expert guidance you will get what you need to know, in a very short time, and it will feel effortless! Absolutely worth twice the amount she charges!
I would highly recommend this professor for any student. After going over my syllabus, she knew exactly how to help me. She was very detailed in helping me with understanding some concepts that I was stuck on. She is highly intelligent and just has a lovely sweet nature. She's worth every penny.
Stephanie L. is a wonderful tutor. I did my first lesson on Statistics and it's application to SPSS and now I feel like I have a better understanding of the information. I'm taking an online statistics class and was getting behind, but one lesson with Stephanie put me back on track. I'm really looking forward to working with her in the future. Thanks you so much for everything.
Stephanie provided me assistance in statistical analysis, interpreting and the use of SPSS. Stephanie is a very knowledgeable and intuitive teacher. She takes pride in her work and possesses the qualities of an outstanding teacher. She truly wants her student to understand the subject versus 'Get the answers'. She also seems to love her work and enjoying celebrating in your success. This is highly unusual. I recommend her services for anyone who is seeking tutoring in any subject she offers.
As a teacher myself, I am especially sensitive to the learning experience. As a student, I am a extremely grateful when I come across a teacher who "can teach", allowing the learning experience to be what it should be, positive, enjoyable and a process. Stephanie can teach!!! As a PhD student, I found myself overwhelmed, discouraged and defeated as I faced my first doctoral level course-STATISTICS. After two classes, I honestly questioned my potential and my ability to get, not just through the class, but through the program as well. In a few hours, Stephanie changed that. She immediately created an environment that was full of hope and a rapport that started to restore my confidence. She then miraculously, step by step, narrowed all of this complicated information into organized pieces that I could understand and comprehend. In addition, she has the gift of patience and genuine warm smile that helps you relax, remove the stress, and process. After today, our first session, I am excited to take this on full force. Stephanie is a "gifted teacher" and I am confident that she will teach me well, and I will learn and understand statistics and not run away from it for the first time in my academic career.
My lesson with Stephanie today was very impressive. She was very helpful and I gained new insight into writing using APA format for statistics. I am looking forward to our next session!!
Stephanie is an outstanding tutor and very patient. She knows her career and I highly recommend her for a tutor for anyone who is seeking one. She is AWESOME!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I earned a BA in Anthropology in 1999. While I have not taught in this area, it continues to interest me, and I have stayed relatively up to date with recent findings in nutritional and physical anthology.
As a professor at UTSA I taught Freshman Seminar courses for both Psychology majors and undecided majors. I have training in assessments including StrengthsQuest and several personality assessments that may prove useful in helping people explore their career options. I am used to working with University level students who are unsure of the path they wish to take, and I enjoy mentoring young people to help them find a path they will enjoy.
