My name is Lydia and I came from France to the US in 2007. I speak, read, and write French fluently, and I know the grammar rules, vocabulary and tense rules, present and past, etc. I have been a French tutor since 2008 and I have experience with students in French I, II & III and AP French.
Also, I studied in the administrative field (computer software like Word and Excel). I was a dance teacher for several years, so I know how to be and act to make someone feel comfortable and motivated to learn in a good environment.
I am nice and patient. I am a perfectionist so I will give all my best to help my future students achieve their goals.
I am available evenings after 6pm and Saturdays. I can also tutor online.
Please feel free to contact me if you need further information about me.

The lesson's hourly rate will be lowered if the student is willing to have the lesson at my house or online. For group sessions, it will be $20/h more for each additional student.
Lydia really connects well with my daughter, who is in AP French, and uses audio-visual quite extensively to impart a language-immersion experience for her. We really like her and would gladly recommend her to anyone looking to improve their French.
Thank you very much Devi. It's my pleasure and your daughter is a delight to work with.
Lydia is very patient, motivating, organized and fun to work with!! She is very easy to communicate with and always punctual with her lessons. My husband & I have thoroughly enjoyed all of our French lessons thus far and we are looking forward to working with her long-term!!
Thank you so much Ann!! It's a pleasure to work with you and your family!
I was in need of a tutor for my daughter for an oral exam that she had in 2 days. Lydia responded immediately and was at my home the next evening. She was very patient and helpful. We would definitely recommend her to anyone needing help with French.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
As a person coming from a foreign country (France), I know exactly what it is to have English as a Second Languages. I learned English at school and I am learning everyday. The very good point is I speak, read and write a "scholar" English as they teach at school so I can definitely help people for who English is a second language.
I have 5 years experience as an Administrative Assistant and I obtained an Associates Degree in 1999, as a Trilingual (French/English/Spanish) Executive Assistant.
I have Word processing and MS Office skills. I am an Expert in Word and advanced in Excel.
I have a wild knowledge about general computer and I can tutor someone in this field.
I am using Word for 10 years at work and at home. It has been a big part of my college studies and I'm very advanced.
