In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I would love to teach voice lessons for students at the Elementary Level. I do my best by listening to the song, and repeating the song when singing. I can also sight read, after hearing the song at least one time through on any instrument, or on a recording. Have taught songs to students at the Elementary Level for 4 years, in Richardson ISD, as I was substitute teaching, and really enjoy creating songs in my head, and singing them to students, and teach them a new song in relation to subjects taught, or whatever subject we may be covering at the time, so that they can remember the facts that maybe being used.
