I am a Math Major about to enter my second year as a student at the University of Texas at Austin. I have tutored students of all ages from K-12 and first-year college students. I worked for Mathnasium for nearly a year where I learned many teaching techniques for all levels of math ranging from pre-algebra to Calculus. Also, I helped numerous high school students prep for the SAT and ACT as I have scored perfectly on the math sections for both of these tests. Even before and after working at Mathnasium I have never hesitated to help someone out when they are struggling to grasp a new concept in their math class. I just love to positive feedback I get after teaching someone something that they couldn't quite understand before. It's why I will never stop tutoring.
I scored an 800 on the SAT math section and a 36 on the ACT math section. Also, I scored a 5 on the AP Calculus AB exam and have completed the core coursework for Calculus at UT and have received all A's. I have experience tutoring math from a kindergarten level all the way to Calculus as well as SAT and ACT prep from working at Mathnasium.
I scored a 5 on the AP Physics 1, AP Physics C E&M, and AP Physics C Mechanics exams during high school. Also, I received an A for an Engineering Physics class taught at UT. In all the Physics classes I have been in, I have been the person that other students go to when they need help because I offer unique ways to look at how to understand new concepts and how to tackle new problems.
A large number of people that I have tutored in my past, even though they now live hundreds of miles away from me, still reach out for help. Because of this, I have become very familiar with using technology to tutor students. I am willing to do whatever makes my students the most comfortable during these challenging times.
