About Sudeep

Dear student,

Welcome!

I have taught Anatomy, Physiology and Microbiology in Texas colleges for a number of years now. The courses include Biol 2401, Biol 2402, Biol 2404 and Biol 2421. I did my Ph.D. at Texas A&M University, College Station- splicing genes and figuring out what turns them on or off.

All these subjects have immense amount of material to cover in a short period. That is where I come in. I show you how to make it manageable. Over and over, my past students have said to me, "Dr. M, the main thing you taught us was how to study the material. After your class I feel confident that I will not be overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the material in any class." In all these subjects many students simply try to cram the material.

I admit that some amount of memorization is necessary. However, you will need to understand the processes before trying to cram or else things will all get confused in your mind. My diagrams and flowcharts will help you do just that. Finally, the exams. I will help you review the material. If you have the determination and put in the time, I will get you through with great results.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Anatomy

In Anatomy, students learn about the structure of the human body. They learn about the bones, the muscles, all the organs like the heart and the stomach etc. It is a subject needed for Medicine and many Allied Health fields. For example, students wanting to go to medical schools or into nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dental hygiene, radiation technology or ultrasonography will all need to pass this course. Since this the foundation course for these careers, it is important students have a good grasp on the subject. And competition is high. It is not sufficient to simply pass the course. Students need to ace it. That is where I come in. All students can read the material. But remembering and recalling the material is difficult. I show them how to handle these vast amounts of material in a short time.

I presently teach Anatomy at the college level.

Biology

I needed to know and master Biology before I specialized in Human Anatomy and Physiology, and Human Nutrition. My Ph.D. from Texas A&M is in Nutrition. An excellent grasp of Biology is necessary if one has to understand and appreciate Anatomy, Physiology, Nutrition and all the Biochemistry involved in food intake and digestion.

MCAT

MCAT or Medical College Admission Test is a challenging test covering Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Physical (General) Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and English.
I taught medical college aspirants as an instructor in 'The Princeton Review' - a leading test preparation institute. Getting certified to teach at The Princeton Review was a rigorous multi-step process. First, potential instructors are asked to give a short presentation. Next, they take a test in the subject they want to get certified in. Lastly, candidates have to attend and pass a two-day training. This training is broken up into multiple sessions. MCAT methodology, question patterns, techniques to better scores are drilled into the candidates during these sessions. At the end of each session, candidates have to present a topic to their peers and are graded on these presentations.
I am confident, that after such extensive training and experience teaching MCAT preparation courses, I will be able help students.

Microbiology

I presently teach Microbiology (Microbiology 2421) at the college level.

Nutrition

I have a Ph.D. in Nutrition from Texas A&M University. During that time, I have been trained in multiple aspects in the field of Nutrition. I have also taught in community colleges for a number of years and am conversant with the topics covered in Nutrition as needed to further your career in Allied Health fields.

Physiology

In Physiology, students learn about the function of the human body. They learn how muscle contract, how the kidney filters and maintains blood pressure, how the heart adjusts amounts of blood pumped out per minute, how nerves coordinate the different parts of our body, how we handle what we eat and how each cell is nourished routinely. It is a subject needed for Medicine and many Allied Health fields. Students wanting to become doctors, or go into nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dental hygiene, radiation technology or ultrasonography will all need to pass this course. Since this the foundation course for these careers, it is important students have a good grasp on the subject. And competition is high. It is not sufficient to simply pass the course. Students need to ace it. That is where I come in. All students can read the material. But understanding and being able to recall the material is difficult. I show them how to handle these vast amounts of material in a short time. I will highlight the important facts in each chapter. I will show them how to make the flowcharts and diagrams that connect all the facts.

I presently teach Physiology at the college level.

Dr. M. is very punctual. He is a definite expertise in the field of Microbiology! He maintained his professionalism throughout the tutor session. Communication was somewhat difficult to understand because of his accent and he speaks fast; however, Microbiology is its own language with words like transposons or genomics, which are clearly understood even with an accent. Because Dr. M. is a profe
