I found Nina to be very helpful, and good at what she does. She is a Jovial and patient teacher. She was easy to reach, and on time to our scheduled meeting. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to know HTML or how to use Dreamworks and Adobe Photoshop. Thank you Nina for all your wonderful help.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I recently took Adobe Flash CS4, so the information is fresh. I also have completed multiple projects using this program and have purchased and used Flash CS5. Projects I've done have included using Action Script to control different elements of the animation(s). I also have learned how to troubleshoot various problems in this program and will gladly share this knowledge. I have a wonderful reference book that I also use for figuring out new ways to use this program.
I don't mind taking a slow approach to this subject and going over concepts multiple times. I can cover such things as what the stage/library is, how to use tweens and easing, frame by frame animation and a host of other subjects that are crucial for developing complex internet animations. This is a complex program but I can make it user friendly for even the most timid animator.
I started out using QuarkExpress and Aldus Pagemaker over 20 years ago. I've now switched to Adobe Indesign. I know how to use the menus and tools to create a vast array of projects using this program. From newsletters to resumes, importing and creating artwork, and laying out multi-paged documents complete with style sheets, I can easily show you how to find your way around this program.
I'm also familiar with using keyboard shortcuts to reduce the amount of time it takes to complete a project and will share those as well. I can explain all of the tools, and other menu items with clarity and ease. I also own a wonderful reference book about this program which I will gladly share. I've used the CS4 and CS5 versions of this program.
I took a course on Dreamweaver at Pikes Peak Community College in 2009. I have been working in Dreamweaver for over 4 years, understand CSS and have created over 5 web sites, including updating my own more than 3 times.
I am an experienced substitute teacher who has spent her time in elementary classrooms grades K-5. I also have two children who have successfully completed elementary school. I'm familiar with subjects and study and learning techniques. Teaching children how to read, write and count are my favorite activities.
Whether you've never used a computer or are switching from a PC to a Mac, I can help guide you through all of the aspects of getting around a Mac. I've been using Macs for over 20 years. I can go as slow or as fast as you need. Shortcuts and key commands are also things I will share with you.
I'm familiar with Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 and CS5. I can show you how to use the menus to insert code and how to troubleshoot code problems and correct them. If you don't like using the code, I can show you how to insert graphics and get them to work the way you want to by editing the art side of Dreamweaver. I'm familiar with Cascading Stye Sheets (CSS) and Spry assets. I've created web sites using both of these elements successfully as well as tables to control the look of the site. I've also embedded Flash videos in HTML sites and can create 2 frame animations using roll-over buttons.
