I am a native Chinese speaker in Mandarin and Cantonese. I taught Chinese language in University of Houston and in community Chinese schools for many years. Math is always my favorite subject. My GRE score was 740 out of 800.
My teaching style is fun and energetic. Learning something new is always fun and exciting for me. I believe fun learning has to do with introducing material with simplified concepts and putting them in various easy understanding examples. The best learning approach is to make it fun and life related. I believe that my passion in learning and patience while teaching is the key to make my students overcome the obstacles and find better attitude in learning.

Cindy was very good at teaching my daughter and son to have courage to speak in Chinese. My children have learned Chinese (Mandarin) before but lack of courage to speak it up. Her way of teaching gives my children the building blocks to use Mandarin in a more flexible way that it is not constrained to the curriculum/materials in the books we use.
Title says it all. Cindy is very patient and makes learning enjoyable. She is a great tutor and I would definitely recommend her.
She recommended some helpful tips to get my son started on improving skills. I would like more direction and/or additional homework for him to complete.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a native Chinese speaker in Mandarin, also Cantonese too. I taught Chinese language at the University of Houston and in weekend Chinese schools. In addition, I also tutored some individuals in one-on-one sections.
