I teach statistics and statistical programming at Southern Methodist University, both undergraduate and graduate level, and have received rave reviews from my students. I have 20+ years of experience working as a statistician in industry. I love helping people "see the light" so that statistics is understandable and not intimidating. I studied Discrete Math in college in my Discrete Math and Combinatorics classes, prior to obtaining my B.A. in Mathematics with a 3.93 GPA. I have also actively used discrete math concepts in my graduate studies in statistics and in the past 10 years of practical application of statistics and probability.

I use Excel on a daily basis, and love teaching it to others. I have been actively using Excel in the business world and also for statistical applications and data management for over 25 years. I use Excel in a stats course I teach at SMU. I routinely use the many formulas available in Excel, and also have several years' experience doing VBA programming to do more complex process automation in Excel. I can accomplish any task in Excel, and I love teaching others advanced techniques.

After going through a rigorous theoretical master's program at Ohio State, and teaching as a statistics lecturer there, I worked in the industry for Nielsen Media Research and Abbott Laboratories as a Statistician. In the past 5 years, I have been teaching probability and statistics as a faculty member at SMU.

I first used R when it was still Splus and not yet open source. Since 2021, I have used R extensively in a massive research grant data warehouse project, and also in teaching Statistics and Data Science at SMU since 2022. I use R on a daily basis, and have many examples to draw from to create R code solutions for any need.

I have been programming in SAS for the past 25 years first in industry with Nielsen TV Ratings and Abbott Laboratories, and then teaching intro and advanced SAS at SMU since 2019. I have created and taught basic SAS code as well as extensive SAS macro automation for managing/manipulating large and complex datasets.
SPSS

I have utilized SPSS in my consulting work with candidate PhD clients preparing for and writing their dissertation. We have utilized the many functions of SPSS, from setting up variables to setting up the correct analyses and interpreting the output to make correct conclusions, aided by my strong theoretical background in statistics.
