I met with Aaron several times for a university level statistics class. He is extremely knowledgeable about the subject and it shows in his teaching. He was very patient and made sure that I understood the concepts before ending each session. He is a great tutor and I recommend highly!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a seasoned accountant by trade, with 5+ years in Non-Profit/Governmental accounting and financial reporting, U.S. GAAP.
I am qualified to tutor this subject as I have a BS in electrical engineering. Further, my degree is recent (as of 2012) and the content on the undergraduate level is at a fundamental level such that my knowledge should remain relevant, despite how quickly tech industries tend to move. With this in mind, however, I am not suited to tutor at a graduate level or above as I do not have the educational background nor the experience in the industry to assure proficiency on the cutting edge of the field.
