I’ve spent much of my life with one passion: communication. Specifically, I am fascinated by the idea of simplifying complex concepts into simple, understandable words. It was this particular skill that got me excited about the idea of teaching math.

My calculus professor was incredibly good at this skill. We modeled integrals using cardboard curves to verify our calculations for the area under the curve. Population growth equations were derived from a class experiment using lollipops. And I’m pretty sure we used 3D computer modeling to understand how to graph multivariable functions. I realized that my early professors often lacked the ability to make difficult concepts clear and engaging, the very skill I’d worked so hard over the past few years to develop. That’s when I realized that teaching math would be a perfect application of everything I was good at and enjoyed. Over the past few years, I have successfully utilized this skill in high school and college classrooms.

I am eager and willing to find some new students! Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

AMAZING

Abigail was absolutely amazing. I have been struggling in my college statistics course and she was able to break down complex concepts. I feel more confident with my school work. Cannot say enough good things!

Great teacher!!

Abigail is an amazing teacher. She makes sure I understand what we are going through and that we don’t move to quickly. When i ask questions, she explains well and in detail and if needed, has the ability to explain concepts in different ways to make I understand.
