I have been an "in the field" hands on geologist over 20 years. I have a master's degree in geology with minors in soil diagnosis, math, and history pre 1950. I have worked for independent companies, the US government, as well as an independent. I worked my way through college by tutoring students in math and science.
Therefore, I know dedication and hard work will pay off. I enjoy students realizing their own potential with the rise of test scores and grades.
I specialize in Earth sciences, math, and history. My goal is to challenge the student, but not overwhelm. I will assign homework and periodic assessments and progress reports.
I have minors in Algebra 1 and 2, Calculus 1 and 2, as well as Geometry. Math has always been a passion of mine.
I have a master's degree in Geology and environmental soil science. My expertize is with micro fossils and soil environments.
I hold my students to a high standard and therefore I hold myself to a higher standard. I invite feedback in order to better myself, and improve lessons. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
