Elementary (K-6th)

Over the course of my high school and college years, I privately tutored elementary school children in various subjects. I started at the age of 14. After college, I became a G.E.D. educator with the New Orleans Public Schools and went through training. The training involved teaching elementary subjects to adults that were on the grade school level. My main focus is math because I like to encourage future careers in math/science. Although, I love motivating children to strive for excellence in all subjects. I believe children must have a strong foundation because it only builds from there. Seeing children "light up" when they finally understand what I'm explaining makes me proud. I know then that I'm making a difference. What that child learns, they will surely pass on to someone else. Learning should always be fun for a child so I work with each child individually to find what ways I can make it fun for them.

Awesome Professional

My son has gone from an 55 average to an 89. Rashonda is very patient, kind, and knows how to get the student to understand the concepts. My son is getting more confident in his work and finally grasping concepts. We will continue tutoring so that he can continue to improve and succeed.

Friendly and she knows her stuff!

Rashonda has been tutoring two of our children in high school mathematics for a year now, and we recommend her without reservation. She definitely knows the material inside and out, and is able to explain it so the kids understand it, but she also is very friendly, and the kids are always happy to see her and to work with her. We worked with two WyzAnt tutors over the past year (math and science) and are very happy we did. Our kids had good grades before, but incredible ones now. One earned a 99% in math on his latest report card, and both got As!

Great tutor with golden touch.

Rashonda is an excellent tutor with the unique ability to get to know her student's learning style, in order to meet their individual needs. She is patient and a great listener. She engages her students in her teaching style making learning enjoyable. She made my son love learning all over again and found a way to make him excited about his biggest struggle - MATH. He really struggled with math and she was able to explain it in such a way that he could understand it. She is an excellent tutor and has a great teaching methodology. I will recommend her to others.

Great tutor!

Rashonda and my daughter had an excellent first session. She really had my daughter involved in working out her calculus problems and explained the how and why of each step. She is very knowledgeable, patient, and kept my daughter engaged throughout the entire session. My daughter thinks she's great!

The Best Tutoring Ever

Rashonda and my son had a great session from day one. Rashonda was very patient and professional with my son; she went step by step with him to give a better understanding of the subjects he was struggling in. Rashonda gave her honest opinion about my son’s struggling subjects and her form of tutoring is now rebuilding his confidence. I would recommend Rashonda to anyone with a child that needs expert tutoring.
