I got a 5 (highest score) on four of them and a 4 on the other one. I have had so many brilliant teachers throughout high school and they are what inspired me to start tutoring. I believe that it is the teachers that make the difference for the success of a student. I hope to reflect this through the way I tutor. I make sure to give you ample time to process material and help you in a respectful, kind way. Learning should be a positive experience because if it is not, learning suffers and is ineffective.
I do not have experience with official tutoring; however, I tutor my friends all the time. In tutoring my friends and fellow classmates, specifically in Algebra, Geometry, and Physics, I always make sure that they have a firm grasp of the concept before moving on. On average, I tutor 4-5 friends for at least an hour a week. One of my approaches is to work analogies into my explanations to view the tricky concept from a different perspective. Students struggling with a concept have the ability to understand it, they just need to view it through a different lens, and this is what I pride myself on.
I love tutoring because I can use my knowledge to help others succeed. I live for those lightbulb moments when a struggling student finally understands the concept and feels confident applying it to a wide range of problems. I also love tutoring because of the individuals I get to meet along the way. I can not wait to meet more bright students searching for a better understanding of the world around them.
I pride myself on fast responses to emails. I am always open to constructive feedback. I will also answer any questions you may have about me or tutoring. Please do not hesitate to contact me about questions you have or to schedule a lesson!
