HCC - Houston Community College (Business Management)
I was born and raised in French Polynesia, where I speak and write in French fluently. I completed high school in Tahiti and I continued my education and obtained my Brevet d’études Professionnel in Accounting and Baccalauréat in Secretarial Studies.
I utilized these certificates where I worked in banking, hotels and with our local high school. Later on, I was given the opportunity to study in US, where I received an Associates in Business Management, graduating with honors from Houston Community College. I am currently seeking to further my education with a Bachelors in Business Management.
I enjoy teaching French to all ages, so you are never too young or too old to learn a new language. I feel that I can make a connection with students seeking assistance in learning a new subject because I have recently walked those same footsteps.
I too had to utilize a tutor because upon arriving to the US, I spoke very little English and with the assistance of a great tutor, I was able to take these teachings to earn a degree in Business Management. Each year, I volunteer for Texas French Symposium, where I judge students’ French speaking abilities in various categories from poetry to drama speeches. My hobbies are cooking delicious French dishes, listening to French music such as Claude Francois or Garou, reading French news and dancing some hula dance.
I am from French Polynesia and French is my National language and I know the nuances of the languages. The reason I feel that I can be an outstanding French tutor is because I have the ability to connect with students of all ages, and of all learning paces. More importantly, I am patient and can make people understand the subject and answer all questions they may have. Hence, I will make an outstanding French tutor. We just had the first lesson with Ms. Nora. She's very patient and kind. She helped my daughter with pronunciation in French. She is looking forward to seeing her again.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
