As a teacher I embrace the idea of having the opportunity to teach and influence students positively. It is my goal to make students feel that they have changed professionally and personally after having learned Spanish. Being a Native Spanish speaker I believe that learning Spanish as a second language is very important in today's world; it is helpful with business and trade, today's economy, help you to communicate and help others that speak Spanish. Especially in Texas where there are a lot of people that speak Spanish as a primary or second language.
As a Spanish professor it is my priority is to help the students to become better Spanish speakers and to reach their goals in Spanish. I can help the students to succeed in the subject curriculum. The way I would describe my way of teaching is eclectic; but focused on the communicative approach and task based. I definitely make use of all the resources available and implement the use of them to train the students to obtain better writing, reading, listening, and speaking skills as well as the grammar and culture.
I support the idea that in order to learn a language, the student has to have a base in grammar. Throughout my experience I have encountered students that have the ability to learn using visual, As for that, it is my preference to give students extra tools, such as grammar because I feel that it is vital information for their learning. I try my best to prepare them so that they have the need to be able to communicate, and go onto the next level from there.
In my 12 years of studying the language and throughout all of my careers I develop different techniques and different approaches for all my learners, because not ever learner can learn the same way so i utilize different approaches in order to help them understand and learn the language.
I am very high qualify and I passed all of my Spanish certifications. I am able to teach all Spanish levels starting from beginner to professional level.
At last, my strengths lie on my ability to elicit high standards from students in such a way that they are willing to participants and are able to achieve success. I believe that my love of teaching and commitment to grow both as an individual and professional makes me an outstanding teacher. Realistically I think that I am not a perfect instructor, and I still have a lot to learn.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
