About Bryan

My name is Bryan and I am a tutor specializing in tutoring for elementary and junior high students. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's of University Studies degree in Communications, History and Horticulture and Turfgrass Science.

I am a certified teacher in the state of Texas. My first certification is "Core Subjects EC-6" which certifies me for ELAR, math, science and social studies for Pre-Kindergarten through sixth grade. My second certification is "Generalist 4 -8" which certifies me to teach all four core subject areas for grades four through eight. (English Language Arts and Reading, Math, Science and Social Studies). My third certification is "Special Education EC-12" which certifies me to teach special education and special needs students for all grade levels from early childhood through twelfth grade. I have two years of teaching experience in elementary and jr. high school in all core subjects.

I believe that patience, adaptability and consistency are vital in tutoring and teaching students. We must be patient in learning about why a student may be having a problem learning and even more so when finding a solution to that problem. We must learn to adapt to each student and their learning styles. And we must be consistent in applying what we have learned.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
