Knowledgeable and experienced tutor

Matt helps my son with Algebra. He is very knowledgeable, patient and a very good teacher. He is available on short notice to help him with any issues. My son’s grade in algebra has significantly improved since he started working with Matt. Thank you Matt for helping us.

Getting my daughter ready for the state exams….great teaching techniques. Matt is not only building her math skills, but he’s teaching her problem solving, and different ways of understanding what her school is teaching , but he’s building her confidence at the same time. Too bad Matt is not her regular teacher in middle school

Very relaxed, but very thorough teaching style

I contacted matt about 3 months ago to help my daughter with algebra. My daughter is in 8th grade and in advanced math ( 9th grade algebra 2). I don’t understand any of it. I never did. We found Matt on Wyzant. After a few emails and a telephone conversation, we felt Matt was a good fit for my daughter. After these 2 months, one lesson a week, my daughters math scores have taken off, she is so much more confident now, where as before she absolutely hated math. ( I think she still does, but is not nearly as afraid of it as before). We can’t thank Matt enough. First of all, Matt never canceled a lesson, he has a very easy , no stress / don’t worry way of teaching. On one occasion my daughter had some concerns about a big test, of course it’s the night before the test. I asked Matt if he could help her , on such short notice , I did not even expect a response. Not only did Matt get right back in touch with me, he said yes, of course, let’s get started and see what we can do. That in itself took a ton of pressure off of my daughter , she received a 94 on her test, never had a score that high. We always receive a progress report on what she is doing good in, and what she needs to work on, and he does not leave you on your own, he gives my daughter practice work. It’s a completely different language for me. We will continue to work with Matt for the rest of the school year….. as long as Matt will have us, we can’t thank Matt enough. I really don’t think anyone could ask more of a teacher. The difference in my daughters attitude towards math is night and day, how do you thank someone for that?

My daughter had been struggling with Math for along time.....Matt's tutoring has not only helped my daughter catch up in a month's time, he now has her learning concepts ahead of classroom work. From a DAD who hasn't seen Polynomials since the 90's lolol!!!

My Daughter was very comfortable with Matt from the very start. Matt asked my daughter to email some of her assignments, so he has an idea of what her class is up to. Matt stepped in and is exactly what my daughter needs. We get updates, or reports on what my daughter is doing well, and what she needs to work on . We intend to continue with Matt for as long as possible. I don’t think I could find a better tutor.
