“**Great confidence builder!**”

I am a secondary math teacher with 36 years experience, and many years experiences as a tutor as well. I spent 20 years at Mckinney High School with the best teachers ever! Together we wrote curriculum for algebra and geometry, and I still have tons of learning materials.

I had the highest scores from all 3 McKinney High Schools and

My 8th grader really struggled with the Algebra concepts and the :45 class time with 30 other students just wasn't enough. Weekly sessions with Kathleen S. have made a huge difference in her confidence level with the material!!

Kathleen S. is tutoring my daughter for past few months. She is a great tutor, has a significant amount of sincerity, knowledge and patience. She has never missed a date. My daughter has improved a lot with her help. I look forward to continue with her.

Thanks so much! I really enjoy working with her!

Kathy has been working with our son for a little over a month and from the first session, she has helped "clear the fog" of 9th grade algebra! He feels much more confident in his understanding--- Kathy's teaching style encourages alternative ways of solving concepts in a very patient way. And, we are seeing much improved grades already! I would highly recommend Kathy especially for students who need the extra boost of confidence in mastering high school math concepts.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

My son is ADHD and I teach at Great Lakes Academy, a school for students with learning differences including ADHD.

I presently teach at Great Lakes Academy, a school where many students have Aspergers. I have spent many hours in training with Spot University, and mastering tests over this. I attended a seminar by the March of Dimes, where adults with Aspergers gave testimony of their lives, and what helps them learn.

I am a math teacher and know the math material tested on PSAT. It covers algebra 1, geometry, and algebra 2. This is what I teach, and I passed the tests to tutor this material.

100% of my algebra students passed the algebra EOC and all but one of my 6th grade students passed the STAAR math.

I teach study skills at Great Lakes Academy. I teach outlining, main ideas, how to take good notes, learning styles, keep an interactive notebook, and make graphic organizers, along with Cornell notes, and how to develop good listening skills.

I taught 20 years at McKinney High were my students rated the highest in the district on their TAKS scores. I also have many years experience tutoring for TAKS, and my students have been very successful.
