Hi everyone! My name is Anjali, and I am currently a third year college student, pursuing a degree in both biochemistry and kinesiology. I have a lot of experience when it comes to tutoring, as I am a babysitter, and one of my job expectations is to tutor the children that I babysit. Also, I am an instructor at Mathnasium and I am currently tutoring my brother, who is going to take the PSAT next month. My strong points are science, particularly chemistry and biology; math, particularly elementary math and Algebra; and English, particularly writing. To give you an idea of my qualifications, I help my brother, who is a sophomore in high school, do his chemistry homework on a daily basis. Furthermore, I scored a 4 on my AP Chemistry Exam, a 4 on my AP Biology Exam, a 5 on both my AP English Language and Literature Exams, and a 3 on my AP Calculus Exam. I have a very laid back tutoring style, which is still strict at the same time. I allow the children to work on their own for the first 15 or so minutes, then I determine what it is that the child needs the most help with, and mainly focus on the weak points that the child may have. I do this because I believe it is more efficient than just going over everything, some of which the child may already have a good grasp on.
