Hello, my name is Christina! I am 24 years old with four years experience teaching and tutoring young and adult students, underprivileged adults, ESL and EFL students. I am receptive to the needs of my students and dedicated to helping them succeed!
My first experience tutoring was in 2009 at my college's learning center. I helped undergraduate students edit and compose essays for multiple courses, from English 101 to Psychology 401. I also helped graduate and post-graduate students edit thesis and dissertations.
After graduating in 2011, I worked as a GED instructor at 'The Hope Center' in Fort Worth, preparing underprivileged adults for the GED test, providing group lessons in math and grammar and one-on-one tutoring in science, reading, and social studies. At the same time, I privately tutored an elementary school student in AP Reading, utilizing creative study strategies to raise his test scores and class grade by as much as 30%.
Recently, I traveled to South Korea to teach at an English academy called 'EiE,' administering curriculum to 5-6 EFL classes a day, implementing detailed lesson plans and dynamic classroom activities to educate and engage elementary and middle school students.
As my experience indicates, I can offer multiple services, including proofreading and editing papers, assisting with homework, creating study strategies, and aiding in writing composition. I also make it a priority to build a strong rapport with my students in order to establish a comfortable and communicative setting.

Christina helped our daughter reviewing her essays. Though we worked with her for a short period, we found her to be very honest and easy to work with. She is quite flexible, prompt and supportive. She responded to our request with short notice and delivered precisely what we asked for. My daughter liked her review comments which are quite useful.
Christina was very easy to correspond with and very flexible with her time. She arrived promptly and was able to help my daughter with her grammar. I heard a lot of laughter which pleased me because it was obvious that she was making it an enjoyable experience and not one that my daughter would dread each time. I will definitely use Christina again!!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I believe I am qualified in this area because I tutored college students for 3 years (From January 2009 to May 2011) in writing at a university learning center. I assisted undergraduate to post-graduate students with composing, proofreading, and editing their essays, thesis, and dissertations.
Recently I proofread and edited four college application essays for a student on WyzAnt and received very positive feedback from both her and her father. Her father even gave me a 5 star rating on WyzAnt and wrote a very positive review.
As for my educational background, I earned a B.A. in English Studies from Ball State University in 2011 with minors in Psychology and Linguistics with a 3.5 GPA.
