Maurice is a very knowledgeable tutor! He has helped my daughter with Algebra and SAT math preparation. My daughter is able to comprehend his reasoning behind the problems and as a result she feels that tutoring is helping her a lot. Maurice is well structured in his explanations and encourages questions. He is also very punctual and dependable.
She is a wonderful student with wonderful parents who all work very hard.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have completed through Advanced Calculus I and II and Real Analysis with high scores on each.
I have worked with computers since the age of 10 and am now 40. My first computers had to have the program typed in BASIC each time you wanted to run the program. Later, I started using DOS on a 286. Archie was the first web browser that I used followed by Netscape, and finally Internet Explorer. I worked for 9 years in the printing industry using computers to design business forms and camera ready copy. I used such programs as Photoshop, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel, etc... in that position. I have been using SAP and BAAN in a planning role more recently. I have programmed in C++ and other languages. In conclusion, I have used a computer in many different ways over the last 30 years.
